मुंबई - वसईतील निष्पाप जनतेवर अमानुष लाठीमार करणाऱ्या दोषी पोलिसांवर कारवाई करण्यात यावी; तसेच वसई महापालिकेतून 35 गावे वगळण्याच्या आदेशाची अंमलबजावणी करावी, या मागण्यांसाठी वसईचे आमदार विवेक पंडित यांनी आज विधान भवनाच्या पायऱ्यांवर अनोखे आंदोलन करीत सरकारचे लक्ष वेधले.तोंडावर तिरंगा कपडा बांधून व हाताला साखळदंड बांधून आमदार पंडित सकाळपासून विधान भवनाच्या पायऱ्यांवर बसले होते. निष्पापांवर अमानुष लाठीमार करणाऱ्या पोलिसांवर कारवाई करण्याची आग्रही मागणी पंडित यांनी सातत्याने लावून धरली. अखेर संसदीय कार्यमंत्री हर्षवर्धन पाटील यांनी पायऱ्यांवर येऊन आमदार पंडित यांना आंदोलन मागे घेण्याची विनंती केली. याप्रकरणी लक्ष घालण्याचे आश्‍वासनही संसदीय कार्यमंत्र्यांनी दिल्यानंतर पंडित यांनी आपले आंदोलन मागे घेतले.
